Ye Olde Plough House Wedding Photographer Brentwood
The next wedding to feature on my blog is the wedding of Lauren and Scott. They tied the knot at Ye Olde Plough House in Bulphan near Brentwood back in August 2016. I have photographed many weddings at Ye Olde Plough House over the years, here are a few more weddings that I have captured there. Back to Lauren and Scott’s big day. They had a stunning summers day, and have been kind enough to answer some questions about their wedding. Here is a bit more about them and their day…
How did you meet?
Scott and I had a mutual friend who was turning 18. Scott dropped off the invite to me for our friends birthday and the rest is history
How did the he propose?
We travelled to the Dominican Republic for our anniversary of being together for 4 years. Our room cleaner had made 2 swans out of our bath towels on our bed and Scott balanced the ring box on top. Once I was out of the bath (and finished moaning about his dirty washing being on the floor haha) he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
What Wedding Venue/s did you choose and why?
We decided to get married at Ye Olde Plough House in Bulphan, Brentwood. It was one of the first venues that we visited together and loved it from the moment we saw it. It was everything we wanted but not too over the top. Just perfect!
Did you have a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?
Our colour scheme was Navy, Ivory and Silver. Classic and modern. Nice and Sleek
What source did you use for wedding inspiration?
I looked at a lot of ideas on Pinterest. Then realised I was actually planning 2 weddings. My wedding and my pinterest wedding haha. I used the ideas and slightly changed a few things along the way.
If you could turn back the clock before planning started, what advise would you give yourself?
When I first started to plan our special day I got quite stressed out because I worry quite a lot about other people, how they feel or what they might think. However my attitude changed half way through. This was our special day and we were going to have whatever made us happy. So my advise would be its your wedding, you do what you want and have what makes you happy. No-one will have a rubbish day and if they do they wouldn’t tell you anyway
What was your favourite photograph from the day?
We have quite a few favourites but the picture of our daughters cuddling is a winner. Followed by photos of our first dance.
What song did you choose for your 1st dance?
We choose Tenerife sea by Ed Sheeran. We both love Ed Sheeran songs and we particularly love the words to this one.
Of course!!! We honestly cannot thank you enough. From the first email all the way through, you have been so accommodating and helpful that I couldn’t wish for anyone better. All of our family and friends loved you and said you was the best photographer they have seen.
Wow Gary amazing photos
Many thanks Denise!
