Bressingham Hall and High Barn Wedding Photographer

Last month I travelled up to Diss in Norfolk to photograph the wedding of the awesome, Rachel and Ed. They tied the knot at Bressingham Hall in Norfolk. A stunning venue surrounded by some of the most amazing gardens you have ever seen! It was the first time I had ever been to the venue, and I was not disappointed. The grounds surrounding the venue and inside the venue itself are every photographer’s dream! Since writing this, I have been lucky enough to visit Bressingham Hall a few more times and become one of their recommended wedding photographers! Find out a bit more about their day below and also see some of the images that I took on the day. I hope that you enjoy the images!

What Wedding Venue/s did you choose and why?

We had our ceremony, reception and accommodation at Bressingham Hall and High Barn. We chose this location because of its beautiful gardens and the convenience of having everything in one place.

Did you have a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?

Having our wedding in a barn meant that we carried on the rustic, country vibe throughout. The flowers were very seasonal, grown on a flower farm near where we live in Suffolk, consisting of freshly cut roses and peonies in whites, creams and blush pink, with lots of lush foliage. The bridesmaids wore pale grey floor-length dresses from Rewritten and the men wore their own suits in navy blue with grey ties, to match Edd’s bespoke royal blue suit from Dapper Fox in Bury St Edmunds.

What source did you use for wedding inspiration?

Pinterest, lots of wedding blogs including Rock My Wedding and Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and wedding magazines.

If you could turn back the clock before planning started, what advise would you give yourself?

Try not to stress about the small things, no one will notice and you will still have the best day of your life. Don’t leave things to the last minute!

What was your favourite photograph from the day?

We love them all! But if we had to pick one, it would be the shot of us being covered in confetti as we, and all of our guests, look so happy.

What song did you choose for your 1st dance?

Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran – it’s one of our favourites.

Was “Gary Derbridge Photography” the right photographer for you?

Yes, definitely the perfect choice! Gary puts you at ease straight away and captures the happiness of the day, without being intrusive. We love all of our photos!
