Featured Wedding at The Rochford Hotel

My next wedding to feature on the Blog is of Lauren and Danny, two of my friends from school. It’s always a great pleasure to work with friends, and be trusted to capture their memories of the day. Below you can find out some more information about their big day!

How did you meet?

We first met when we were both 19, we met through a friend and we were seeing each for around 6 weeks before we decided to actually get together. we went to the same secondary school together but we didn’t know each other at school.

What Wedding Venue did you choose and why?

We choose The Rochford hotel because we wanted a venue that was modern with its vintage touches that was close to home and the whole day was all under one roof.

Did you have a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?

We decided on the colour of Royal blue because it stood out to us both and loved all the selection of blues I choose to have in my bouquet.

What source did you use for wedding inspiration?

To be honest I had so many of my own ideas from what I Imagined my day would be like with all the different touches from a young age but I joined a Facebook page about weddings to get some recent ideas.

If you could turn back the clock before planning started, what advise would you give yourself?

If I was able to turn back the clock I would tell myself to chill because by the time the day came round as long as Danny and I had the best day all the other little things I stressed out prior to the wedding just fell into place.

What was your favourite photograph from the day?

I don’t really know if I can choose a favourite photo from the day but if I had to I think it would be when I walk down the isle to my husband to be who just couldn’t control his overwhelming emotions of what was about to happen. (Even though he did have a bet he wouldn’t cry lol)

What song did you choose for your 1^st dance?

Our first dance song was, more than you will ever know by boys to men.

Was “Gary Derbridge Photography” the right photographer for you?

Without a doubt Gary was the right photographer for us. We didn’t think gary was going to be available on the date we wanted due to him being so popular so we was prepared to change the date if he wasn’t but we was lucky Gary was available. We both actually knew Gary from school and in the recent years Danny played football with Gary weekly so when we were in the process of planning we both knew Gary would be what we both wanted as we both felt comfortable with him and he was so relaxed throughout the day that it didn’t feel like we were taking photo after photo. Gary was absolutely amazing with our nieces and nephews and was able to get some great photos of them throughout the day. We wanted Gary to come back in the evening as a guest and enjoy his evening with the new Mr & Mrs which is what he most definitely did. From the moment of beginning of getting ready to laying our heads on the pillow that night Gary made our wedding one to remember with the most emotional and breathtaking images we have to cherish for our future together and we cannot thank him enough.
