Last week I headed out on a very short mini break to Berlin in Germany. It is a city I have always wanted to visit, and with Easyjet now flying there from Southend airport (around 2 minutes from me) I had no reason not too!

It’s everything I expected and more. I am fascinated with all History, especially anything to do with World War II. The city was covered in History, with every corner you turned there was something new to learn about. As you can imagine, a lot of this was about both World War II and the divide of East and West Germany ultimately leading to The Berlin Wall, which was erected in 1961 (although originally just a barbed wire fence).

Below you can find 3 of my “Holiday Snaps”. Although please ignore the poor quality, they literally are just snaps taken on my iPhone with a snazzy Instagram filter put over them.

These were taken on both my cycle bike tour of the main sites of Berlin, aswell as my walking tour of WW2 and the third reich. Both fantastic tours, and I would recommend both!
