Professional Wedding Photographer in Essex
I have been working as a Professional Wedding Photographer in Essex for over 11 years now, and I have photographed over 400 weddings in my time. Often I am asked, Gary, what is your favourite wedding venue?
Usually I pause, and reel off quite a few Essex Venues that I love working at. Always for different reasons which makes it so hard to pick. It can be the beautiful grounds, a stunning building, gorgeous interiors, amazing food or even the fact that the staff are just so fantastic!
One of the venues I always mention is Gosfield Hall. It will always feauture in my top venue selections, as it is just perfect. As you will see from the photos below, it really does have it all! The wedding I am sharing is the marriage of Jessie and Victor who tied the knot there earlier this year.
The venue is around an hours drive from my office, so I always leave nice and early to allow plenty of time. It’s always a bonus to be early as it means I can have a scout around, and work out some of the shots that I want to capture on the day. The other big plus is it means it allows me time for a coffee stop at a Costa, a guilty pleasure of mine!
Once I had my scout of the venue, I started with some exterior shots of the venue. I love to set the scene with detail shots of all the bits the bride and groom have carefully thought of and picked. I then met Jessie and the girls in the incredible bridal suite at Gosfield, which has been voted one of the best bridal suites in the UK. If you scroll down the page and see the pictures taken within the room it’s really not hard to see why. Every corner of the venue seems to have another photo opportunity, and as a photographer you a truly spoilt. Shortly after, Victor and the lads arrived. Both Jessie and Victor were getting ready at Gosfield Hall which was great as it meant I could photograph both of their preparations telling the story of the day. I spent the whole day with them right through until the first dance and a little after. We had a beautiful day for a wedding, which meant the guests spent most of the day outside enjoying the incredible settings.
Jessie and Victor’s actual wedding ceremony was held just a stones throw away at the church within walking distance from the venue. Rather than being lazy and drive, I actually walked across the field via the public footpath to get there! It was a lovely little church, and I managed to get some really pretty photos in side.
Below you can read a bit more about Jessie and Victor’s day. I sent them these questions to learn a little bit more about them as a couple, and also all about the different details of their wedding day. I hope that you enjoy the read, and learning a little bit more about them!
If you are getting married soon and are still in the hunt for a professional wedding photographer in and around Essex, then please do get in touch should require any help. I would be more than happy to learn all about your big day and help you understand what it is I can offer you.
My office is based in Southend and we can arrange a good time for you and your partner to pop in for a chat.
