Professional Wedding Photography at The Lawn Rochford

The Lawn in Rochford is one of the main wedding venues I work at often. I have a great working relationship with the staff down there, and it is a gorgeous venue to shoot at. It’s surrounded by very well kept gardens which make the perfect back drop to your wedding photos. The next wedding to feature on my blog took place there back in September. How did you meet?

At the bar of Mayhem Nightclub! He saw me walk past, pulled me back & gave me a twirl!

How did the he propose?

Just at home in the bedroom….we’d been out for dinner where he’d planned to propose, but nerves got the better of him so he waited until it was just us.

What Wedding Venue/s did you choose and why?

The Lawn in Rochford. I’d driven past it everyday on my way to work and always dreamed one day I would get married there!

Did you have a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?

Lemon yellow / summery

What source did you use for wedding inspiration?

Pintrest and lots of googling! And the Lawn wedding fair!

If you could turn back the clock before planning started, what advise would you give yourself?

Don’t stress! Make a budget, create a spreadsheet and try to stick to it! And don’t buy the first wedding dress you fall in love with!

What was your favourite photograph from the day?

I love them all, but probably the first dance pictures or the one with us up on the Lawn landing. Their all so special though!

What song did you choose for your 1^st dance?

Iris by Goo Goo Dolls, as it was playing on our first date.

Was “Gary Derbridge Photography” the right photographer for you?

Absolutely, all my friends and family have commented on what a wonderful job he did. He made everyone feel so at ease and got amazing pictures that captured each part of the day
