The next wedding to feature on my blog is the marriage of Katherine and David. They tied the knot at The Great House in Sonning. The venue was near to Reading, so I left Essex nice and early to allow for plenty of time just in case I hit any traffic. The journey went very smoothly and I arrived early allowing me time to go and grab a coffee before the day started.

I arrived at Katherine and David’s house, where the girls were getting ready. Photographing all the little details and preparations telling the story of the morning unfolding. Before long, it was almost time to leave to head to the wedding venue. We quickly popped next door (Katherine’s mum and dad’s house) and made use of their gorgeous garden to capture some images.

After a short drive, I arrived in Sonning at the venue. Positioned down by the river, I knew it was going to give me so many great opportunities for photographs. It certainly didn’t disappoint. The rest of the day went like a dream, now you can find out more about their special day in a quick interview with the couple themselves below –

What source did you use for wedding inspiration?

We mainly used the venue itself as the source of inspiration for our wedding. We based our choice of flowers, table decoration etc. on how they would fit in with the venue’s relaxed and informal atmosphere.
