Why don’t you list any prices?
Every wedding is so different, I don’t want to offer a ‘one price fits all’ package. To some of my couples, all day attendance starts at 8am, and to others, maybe they don’t require me to start until midday. This is why it’s important for you to get in touch, check if I’m free, and I will offer you the best option for what suits your wedding day perfectly. We will discuss your requirements, and what the important elements are that you wish to be captured.
How much is your booking fee?
My booking fee is £400 which fully confirms the date for you. The remaining balance would then be due 28 days before the wedding. You are welcome to make small payments prior to the 28 day due date if this makes things easier for you.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. The booking fee confirms your date, and the remaining balance isn’t due in one go, it’s due 28 days before your wedding. If you’d prefer to spread the cost with smaller payments before that date, that’s completely fine, just let me know and we can set that up.
How soon should we book you?
As soon as you know you want me to photograph your wedding, I would suggest you book me then. The last thing I would want is you to leave it for a while and then when you come to make a booking I have already got another wedding for that date.
Can we meet you before the day?
Definitely. If anything, I will recommend you meeting me before you even book me. Photography is such a personal service you want to make sure that I am the right person for the job. One of the few great things to come out of covid was zoom becoming much more mainstream, which means I can meet you virtually at a time that works around your busy schedule.
Are you insured?
Yes, I have both professional indemnity and public liability insurance should your venue request this it can be provided to them.
The day
On your wedding day
How long are you with us on our wedding day?
I can be with you on your wedding day for any amount of time that you decide! This is why I don’t advertise a “one size fits all” package. On your initial contact with me, we will discuss what are the important elements that you want to be photographed on your day, and I will create a collection that suits you and your day perfectly! Please note, for weddings on prime dates, there is a minimum booking of 5 hours.
Do you take posed photos, or is it more natural and candid?
Mostly candid. Most of the day I’m capturing things as they happen rather than directing you, the genuine laughter, the reactions, the moments between people that you wouldn’t think to ask for. The only parts I do pose are the couple portraits, the group shots and a few bits during bridal prep. Honestly, some of the best photos come from those slightly awkward in between moments when you’re just walking together and start laughing at each other. That’s usually when the real photo happens.
How long do group photos take?
I say to allow around two minutes per group shot. I suggest around six to eight different setups is a good number, so as to not take over the day. However, of course, it’s your day, and we can do as many or as little as you wish.
What happens if it rains?
It doesn’t stop the day and it doesn’t stop the photos. Rain can actually make for some lovely, atmospheric images, and I always have a plan for indoor alternatives at the venue if needed. I’ve shot plenty of weddings in the rain over the years and it’s never been a problem, so try not to worry about it.
Do we have to feed you on the day?
No, I do not write into my contract you must feed me. Most of my clients however very kindly offer me a meal, especially ones where I am attended for 9 hours +.
What if your camera goes wrong?
I have backup equipment for everything! Multiple cameras, lenses, flashguns, batteries… everything is covered!

Your photos
How many photos will you take at my wedding?
This is a hard question to answer, as it will depend on a number of factors. For example, how long I am with you for the day, the number of guests you have, etc. To give you an idea, from a usual wedding day from Bridal Preparations through to the first dance, most of my couples receive between 500-700 fully edited photographs.
How long until our pictures are ready?
After the wedding day, I aim for you to be able to see your edited photographs in around 3 weeks.
How safe are our photos?
Your photographs are backed up onto a second hard drive, as well as into the cloud. Therefore the photographs are in 3 different places to avoid any problems.

How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I have been a wedding photographer for almost 20 years and have shot over 850 weddings.
Where are you based?
I am based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, however, I photograph weddings across the UK and occasionally in other countries too!
What areas do you cover?
Although being based in Essex, I will travel anywhere in the world, and I am more than happy to fly abroad for your wedding. I usually do a few weddings abroad each year, which are always enjoyable to capture.
Do you only photograph weddings?
I specialise in wedding and commercial photography. I do not advertise my commercial photography on this website, as I want any bride and grooms who are visiting my website, to only see photos of weddings. I have a separate website for my commercial photography, which can be found here.
