A Perfect Summer Wedding at Blake Hall | Becky & Lewis
As a wedding photographer, there are certain venues that always stand out, and Blake Hall in Essex is certainly one of them. I was thrilled when Becky and Lewis asked me to capture their special day, especially since I had photographed Becky’s sister Emma’s wedding just last year at Vaulty Manor, when she married Connor. Being invited back to photograph another family celebration was a real honour.
This was my third time photographing a wedding at Blake Hall, and it never fails to impress. Nestled in the picturesque Essex countryside, this stunning venue offers the perfect blend of charm and elegance. The weather couldn’t have been better, with the sun shining down on us all day, giving the guests a chance to fully enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces that Blake Hall has to offer.
Becky and Lewis’s wedding was a true reflection of their love story—warm, vibrant, and full of joy. The ceremony took place in Blake Hall’s charming Old Coach House, surrounded by the lush gardens in full bloom. The natural light pouring through the large windows created a perfect setting for the heartfelt vows exchanged between Becky and Lewis.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests made the most of the sunshine, enjoying drinks and canapés on the lawn. The stunning grounds provided endless photo opportunities, from the romantic walled garden to the scenic orchard. Capturing Becky and Lewis amongst these surroundings was a dream come true as a wedding photographer. Blake Hall’s rustic beauty truly enhanced the couple’s natural connection and the love they share.
The reception in the rustic barn was filled with laughter and love, as friends and family celebrated late into the evening. Becky and Lewis’s personal touches, from the beautiful floral arrangements to the thoughtful details on the tables, made the day even more memorable. As the sun began to set, we were able to sneak away for a few golden hour shots—always a highlight for me at Blake Hall weddings.
Being a Blake Hall wedding photographer is always a special experience, but this day felt particularly meaningful, having already had the privilege of working with Becky’s family. Watching familiar faces come together to celebrate another beautiful chapter in their lives made the day even more special.
