Finca Morneta wedding photographer: Victoria & Oliver's Mallorca wedding
Being Victoria and Oliver's Finca Morneta wedding photographer meant a July trip to Palma, Mallorca, and a venue where I was spoiled for choice. Honey-coloured stone, archways, olive trees and palms everywhere you look, a pool for the evening and open fields out the back for sunset. I was with Vic and Ollie from the girls getting ready to the very end of the night, and they kindly invited me along to their boat party the next day too.

The morning
Getting ready in the courtyard at Finca Morneta
The girls got ready in a central courtyard under a stone archway, which turned out to be a lovely shady spot in the Mallorcan sunshine. It meant all the preparation photos have soft, even light, with bougainvillea on the walls and the gardens peeking through the arch behind them.
Hair and makeup carried on while the bridesmaids, all in matching green, kept the drinks and the laughter going.
Ollie
Ollie and the boys
Over with Ollie, it was a white dinner jacket, bow tie and cufflinks, then out into the sunshine with his groomsmen. Finca Morneta's arches, old wooden doors and warm stone walls made it easy to get portraits that feel relaxed rather than set up.
Vic
Ready for the aisle
Before the dress went on, the girls gathered in the courtyard for a few photos together in their robes. Then came the dress, the shoes and a few quiet minutes in the shade for Vic's portraits before the ceremony.
The ceremony
A ceremony in front of the finca
The ceremony took place in front of the main building, with rows of white chairs, parasols for the guests and olive trees all around. Ollie waited at the front, Vic walked down the aisle, and they came back up it together through a shower of confetti.
Drinks and portraits
Spoiled for choice at Finca Morneta
This is where Finca Morneta really comes into its own. Every corner has something going for it: stone archways, bougainvillea, big wooden doors and a courtyard that glows in the afternoon light. In between drinks with their guests, Vic, Ollie and I went exploring for portraits.
The evening
Dinner around the pool
The evening reception was set up around the swimming pool, with long tables, white flowers and bowls of lemons, just as the sun started to go down. It's a beautiful setting for dinner, and the warm evening light made everything glow.
Golden hour
Sunset over the fields at Finca Morneta
As the sun dropped, we headed round the back of the finca, where it sets over open fields with the hills behind. A few minutes out there gave us some of my favourite photos of the whole day.
Speeches
Speeches by the pool
Back at the tables, the speeches had everyone laughing, with plenty of raised glasses along the way. By the time they finished, the festoon lights were on and the pool was glowing in the blue evening light.
The party
A live band and a packed dance floor
Then the party really started. Vic and Ollie had a fantastic live band, and the sax player spent as much time in the middle of the dance floor as he did on stage. The dance floor stayed full all night, and I stayed right to the very end so none of it was missed.
The next day
A boat party from the Port of Palma
The following day, Vic and Ollie very kindly invited me along to their boat party. We cruised out from the Port of Palma with paella and more music on board. After a day like the one before, it was the perfect way to wind down, and a lovely way to finish my time in Mallorca. Thank you both for having me.
Your Finca Morneta wedding
Your Finca Morneta wedding photographer
If you're planning a wedding at Finca Morneta, you'll have no shortage of places for photos. The courtyard archways are perfect for getting ready in the shade, the front of the building works beautifully for the ceremony, the pool comes alive in the evening, and the fields out the back are made for sunset.
I'm based in Essex, but I'm happy to travel for weddings like Vic and Ollie's. I was with them from the girls getting ready to the last song, so nothing was missed. After nearly 20 years of photographing weddings, a new venue in a new country is something I really enjoy. You can see more of my work in my wedding gallery.
If you're looking for a Finca Morneta wedding photographer, or a Mallorca wedding photographer from the UK, I'd love to hear about your plans.
